SLBFE Recruits 100 New Employees

Appointment letters were presented today (07) to 100 newly recruited employees of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) at a ceremony held at the SLBFE, under the patronage of Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.

The new recruitments have been made to fill existing staff vacancies and strengthen the Bureau’s capacity to provide efficient and uninterrupted services to the public.

Accordingly, 100 new employees were appointed to the positions of Management Assistant, Information Technology Officer, Driver and Office Assistant.

The recruitments were carried out through a transparent and systematic selection process. Applications were invited through public advertisements, and candidates who fulfilled the required educational and professional qualifications were selected following the prescribed recruitment procedure.

The SLBFE has undertaken these recruitments after identifying its human resource requirements in order to further strengthen and continuously improve the services provided to migrant workers, prospective migrant workers and their families.

The newly appointed employees will be assigned to the SLBFE Head Office as well as its provincial and district offices across the country, based on operational and service requirements.

The ceremony was also attended by Ms. Aruni Ranaraja, Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism; Mr. Prasad Piyasena, Additional Secretary (Administration); Mr. Kosala Wickramasinghe, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment; Mr. S.M.S.D. Gunasinghe, General Manager of the SLBFE, and other officials.
