Agricultural  Employment Program – Israel

For Sri Lankans  who wish to go abroad as Agricultural Worker, the provision of agricultural opportunities in the State of Israel is done in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of Israel (Population and Immigration Authority – PIBA) and the Government of Sri Lanka (Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment – SLBFE) dated on 05.11.2023 is functioning under the programme for Sri Lankans  wish to migrate to Israel as agricultural  Employment is functioning under this MOU signed between Israel.

Caregiver Employment Program – Israel

For Sri Lankan women who wish to go abroad as Caregiver, the provision of home caregiver opportunities in the State of Israel is done in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of Israel (Population and Immigration Authority – PIBA) and the Government of Sri Lanka (Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment – SLBFE) dated on 24.02.2020 is functioning under the programme for Sri Lankan women wish to migrate to Israel as Home-based Caregiver Employment is functioning under this MOU signed between Israel .

 

 

Under this program, 90% female workers and 10% male workers will be recruited by the Israel government for caregiver job. But for now, the Israel government has temporarily suspended the recruitment of male workers for caregiver jobs.

Monthly minimum Salary – NIS 5571.75

 

You must have the following qualifications and documents before applying as Care giver in Isreal.

  • Passport – The applicant and spouse must possess a valid passport. (Applicant’s passport must be valid for a period of 03 years)
  • Must have completed one Course and National Vocational Qualification or Nursing professional Qualification and experience as mentioned below.
  • Having completed the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau’s Care Giving training course and obtained the NVQ Level 03 certificate

or

  • Having completed the six-month Care Giving training course at Narahenpita National Vocational Training Institute and obtained the NVQ Level 04 certificate

or

  • Having completed the six-month Care Giving training course at the Wellawatta Vocational Training Center and obtained the NVQ Level 04 certificate

or

  • Having completed the 45 days Care Giving training course at Sri Jayawardanapura General Hospital and obtained NVQ Level 03 certificate

or

  • Possession of NVQ Level 03 or NVQ Level 04 certificate issued by the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) in the field of Care giving based on the Test of Prior Knowledge (RPL)

or

If one is in Nursing profession, service certificate with not less than 11 months professional experience in Nursing profession along with Nursing Training certificate from a recognized institution (service certificate related to Nursing profession must be certified by Ministry of External Affairs)

  • English language training certificate obtained from a recognized Institution (Course duration should be more than 60 hours)
  • Birth Certificate – applicant’s children’s if available
  • Grama Niladhari Certificate
  • Marriage certificate
  • If divorced then relevant Certificate and Marriage Certificate
  • If spouse is deceased then Marriage certificate and Death certificate
  • Death certificate if mother, father or siblings are deceased.

Note:- If the mother or father has left, a letter about it must be certified by the GS and the Divisional Secretary.

  • Police Report – If you have been abroad for more than 06 months in this country, it should be obtained from the relevant country, should be a clean police report without charges, should not be a person who had illegally stayed in a foreign country beyond the contracted period, should not be a person who has served as a police officer and a member of the armed forces and has not been out of service illegally. (This country’s police report is valid for 06 months from the date of issue)
  • School Leaving Certificate (Must have completed 10 years of schooling, School Leaving Certificate must be certified from Zonal Education Office.)
  • Educational certificates (only if appeared for GCE O/L and GCE A/L)
  • Copies of National Identity Cards of the applicant, mother/father, spouse, children above 18 years of age and siblings. If these persons are abroad, they should have a copy of valid Passport and Visa.
  • Affidavit (The details of all documents and certificates submitted by the applicant should be included in the affidavit.)
  • All documents mentioned in numbers 04 to 09 and numbers 12 and 14 must be obtained within a period of one year.
  • The documents mentioned above in Sinhala must be translated into English by an authorized translator, and all other documents except the documents mentioned in number 13 must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

  • Passport – of applicant and Spouse (period should remain valid for a period of 03 years onwards.)
  • Having obtained Care giving Training Course Certificate and NVQ Level 03 Certificate from Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau                 or
  • Having completed the six-month Care giving training course at Narahenpita National Vocational Training Institute and obtained the NVQ Level 04 certificate or
  • Having completed the six month Care giving training course at the Wellawatta Vocational Training Center and obtained the NVQ Level 04 certificate or
  • NVQ Level 03 certificate after completing the 45-day Care giving training course at Sri Jayawardanapura General Hospital or
  • NVQ Level 03 or NVQ Level 4 certificate awarded on the National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority’s (NAITA) Care giving Prior Knowledge Test (RPL) or
  • If a person in the nursing profession, a nursing training certificate from a recognized institution and a service certificate with not less than 11 months of professional experience in the nursing profession (the service certificate related to the nursing profession must be certified by the Ministry of External Affairs)
  • English language training certificate obtained from a recognized institution (Course duration should be more than 60 hours.)
  • Birth certificate – applicants, If any children
  • Grama Niladhari Certificate
  • Marriage certificate
  • If divorced then relevant certificate and marriage certificate
  • Marriage certificate and death certificate if spouse is deceased
  • If the mother, father or siblings are deceased, the death certificate and if the mother/father is seperated, a letter stating the same should be submitted. The letter must be attested by the GS Officer and countersigned by the Divisional Secretary.)
  • Police Report – If in this country (Addressing the Israeli Embassy) and abroad for more than 06 months, must be obtained from the concerned country, must be clean police records free of charges, must not be a person who has stayed illegally in a foreign country beyond the contractual period, and if as a police officer and a member of the armed forces, should not be a person who has served as and is out of service in an illegal manner
  • School Leaving Certificate (Must have completed 10 years of schooling. This certificate should be certified from Zonal Education Office)
  • Education certificates (only if appeared for GCE O/L and GCE A/L)
  • Copies of national identity cards of the applicant, mother/father, spouse, children above 18 years of age and siblings. If these persons are abroad, they should have a copy of valid passport and visa.
  • Affidavit (The details of all the documents and certificates submitted by the applicant should be included in the affidavit.)
  • Completed visa application
  • 02 photographs of size 5 cm x 5.5 cm
  • Information letter provided by Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau

 

The ‘Certificate of Nursing Professional Services’ mentioned in number 7 and the documents numbered 9 to 19  must be translated into English by an authorized translator, and all other documents except the documents mentioned in number 18 must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

After obtaining the visa, the applicant must pay the following fees, including the Bureau Registration fees.

  • Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau Registration Fee – Rs 21467.00 (Including Taxes)
  • Service delivery fee – US $ 1735

(These fees are paid to the Service Provider in Israel)

03 days before departure from Sri Lanka – US $ 1137

(To be credited to bureau bank account as per exchange rate prevailing on that day)

26 months after moving to Israel            – US $ 299

Move to Israel in 38 months                  -US $ 299

 

  • Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau processing fee – US $ 428.45

(To be credited to SLBFE bank account as per exchange rate prevailing on that day)
