Job Opportunities  for qualified Youth  –  Japan

 

Two types of recruitment programmes are currently available .

  • SSW Programme
  • TITP Programme

 

Specified Skilled Worker Programme (SSWP)

 

The above program was started based on the cooperation agreement signed in Tokyo on 19.06.2019 between Japanese government and the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau with the aim of providing employment opportunities in Japan for Sri Lankan youth with recognized professional skills.

Technical Intern Trainees Proggramme (TITP)

 

In accordance with the Memorandum Of Understanding signed in 2017 by the International Manpower Development Organization in JAPAN (IM JAPAN) Company representing Japan and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment on behalf of recruiting candidates who wish to migrate for employments in Japan, providing overseas employment opportunities for Japan. These job opportunities are done as Technical Intern Trainees (TIT) recruitment subject to 03 years or 05 years durations.

 

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the International Manpower Development Organization in JAPAN (IM JAPAN) and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment for recruitment in 2017, Technical Intern Trainees (TIT) opportunities are provided for Sri Lankan youth.

 

In order to apply for this Programme the following qualifications are required

 

  • Should be female/male above 18 years and below 30 years. (as on date of receipt of applications)
  • Should have completed school education or have relevant educational qualifications. (School Leaving Certificate and A-level Result sheets are required to certify completion of 13 years of school education.)
  • Male height – 160cm or above and Female height – 150cm or above.
  • Male Weight should be 50 kg or above and Female Weight should be 40 kg or above.·
  • Should be able to live in Japan alone (without family ties).
  • Should be free from hereditary chronic diseases, non-communicable diseases and birth defects.
  • Should be a person not involved in any crime.
  • There should be no visual impairment. Normal vision without the use of spectacles or contact lenses (Japanese visual acuity greater than 0.7, Sri Lanka visual acuity greater than 6/9) should be free of color blindness.
  • There should not be any abnormalities or Tattoos on the body.
  • Should be a person who hopes to work for the development of his country by utilizing the knowledge acquired in Japan after returning to his country.

 

Additional Qualifications to be completed other than to the above qualifications.

 

  • Having passed Level N4 of Japanese language. (JLPT N4 / NAT N4 or JFT)In most cases, male applicants are getting job opportunities in Labor and Construction sector while female applicants are getting Care Giving Job opportunities.

 

Recruitment Procedure

 

  •  In relation to the selection of qualified people for Japanese TITP are implemented by advertising through SLBFE website and Facebook page.
  • Directing the candidates for Physical Test and Written Test after registration.

 

Physical Fitness test activities

 

  • Male – Running 3km – 15min                         Push-ups – 35            Sit-ups – 25
  • Female – Running 5km  – 10min                    Push-ups – 15            Sit-ups – 15

 

Written Examination

General knowledge Test –

  • Mathematical Test 01 and Mathematical Test 02 (Grade 04 to Grade 08 – Sums)
  • Japanese language test (Writing/ Speaking)
  • IM JAPAN workshop knowledge test

 

For Caregiving

 

  • Mathamatical Test 01 and Mathamatical Test 02 (Grade 04 to Grade 08 calculations)
  • Japanese Language Proficiency (Test Level 4N Writing/Speaking Test)
  • IM JAPAN workshop knowledge test

 

Conducting the first interview for those who pass the physical fitness test.

Candidates who pass the first interview will be referred for the final interview.

Referral of candidates who pass the final interview for medical examination.

Directing the selected applicants for a 04-month residential pre-immigration training course for the construction sector and 05-month for the nursing sector to provide a comprehensive awareness of the Japanese language, how to live and work there.

Preparing visa documents and forwarding the documents to the visa processing agency.

 

Required Documents for VISA obtaining

 

  • Visa Application
  • 2.1” X 1.4” size photograph and 3.5cm X 4.5cm size photograph
  • Valid Passport (02 years ahead)
  • National Identity Card (with English translation)
  • Birth Certificate (with English translation)·
  • Employment Agreement
  • Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
  • Marriage certificate if married, divorce certificate if separated or death certificate if spouse is deceased

 

Grant of SLBFE Registration

 

Documents required for SLBFE registration·

 

  • Passport and its copy·
  • A copy of the Employment Contract·
  • Visa and a copy.
  • Family Background Report if female.
  • Certificate of completion of Pre Departure Training(SLBFE registration fee Rs. 21467/- [included tax] will be charged from the concerned candidate.)
  • Referral for second medicals three weeks prior to departure.
  • Providing Flight tickets free of charge through IM Japan Company and arranging migration.

 

 

 

According to the agreement signed between the International Relations Organization (IRO) and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment for recruitment, Technical Intern Trainees (TIT) opportunities are provided for Sri Lankan youth.

 

In order to apply for this Programme the following qualifications are required

 

  • Should have passed JLPT N4/ NAT N4 or N5 Japanese Language Level.
  • Should be a female/male above 18 years of age and below 30 years. as on date of receipt of applications.

Recruitment Procedure

 

  • On received of job orders from IRO Company in Japan applications are called for selection for job opportunities by notification through SLBFE Website as well as through SLBFE Facebook page.
  • Necessary arrangements will be made to conduct a written examination from those who have completed above qualifications.
  • To refer those who have passed the written test to the 02nd interview.
  • Conduct the final Interview for those who have selected from the 02nd Interview.
  • To obtain the eligibility of the selected applicants, prepare the documents related. Documents needed in taking the eligibility Report.
    • Valid Passport

    • Resume (Bio Data)
    • Photo 4cm x 3cm
    • Employment Agreement·
    • Certification document issued by the affiliated organization in the Japan·
    • Intern Technical Trainee’s written statement
    • Recommended letter of SLBFE 6.   Referral for a 03-month residential training course to provide a comprehensive awareness of the Japanese country and how to live there.
  • Directing the trainees to obtain medical reports and police reports after receiving the eligibility certificates of the trainees by the SLBFE.
  •  The preparation of the documents required to obtain the visa of the trainees’ by themselves. The prepared visa files are forwarded to the visa center through the respective applicant.

  • A copy of the Employment Agreement.   May be per the job order.
  • Visa and a copy
  • Family Background report if female(SLBFE registration fee Rs. 21467/- [including tax] will be charged from the concerned candidate)

Guiding the selected applicants after obtaining the visa till departure abroad. (Airline tickets of the concerned trainees will be provided freely by IRO.
