Sri Lanka Bureau Of Foreign Employment has recently declared open its 7th Provincial office at Sabaragamuwa province in the premises of Divisional secretariat, Ratnapura town under the program of decentralization of SLBFE services at provincial level.

By this provincial office, Sri Lanka Employees reside at Sabaragamuwa province would be able to obtain the services such as registration for foreign employment, training, welfare, signing service agreements and to make complaints etc, without traveling to the SLBFE Head office at Colombo. Having ceremonially opened this Provincial office by Honourable Professor G. L Peiris, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Honourable W D J Senevirathne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, the first performance was to award a cheque for a sum of Rs. 57,000 ( the first installment of the total amount of Rs. 124,847/= as assessed by National Housing Authority ) in favour of Mr. Baduge Pushpakumara of Gemunugama, Pathakada while on foreign employment, for the purpose of construction of his house under the program of housing construction aids for disabled Sri lankan employees.
